Santa Cruz Island is located in the center of the Galapagos Islands. It has an extension of 986 km². This is the most populated island in Galapagos, the second most populated island is Isabela. After some studies experts determined that Santa Cruz Island is a big volcano that is sleeping. They also determined that 1,5 millions years ago were a lot of eruptions occuring in this island. In Santa Cruz we find the central offices of the Galapagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Scientific Station. In Santa Cruz as many other islands we can find beautiful beaches as well as a diverse number of sea lions and marine birds.

The departure is in the morning, heading Itabaca channel bus. After 45 minutes of navigation we reach an ideal place for bird watching. After sailing for 30 minutes to the north, we arrived at North Seymour Island, where there is a high population of frigate birds and sea lions. In the main bay, you can snorkel, accompanied by the guide. Then you come to Bachas girls, a beautiful beach with calm waters on Baltra Island where you can swim or kayak. In the afternoon return to Puerto Ayora by bus.
